Who we are
The IV was founded in St. Kitts & Nevis by its lead singer, Mark “Quice” Willett in late 2023. The group was founded with 4 members: Joseph “Alec” Williams, Jamal “Stylee” Jean Jacques, Jahvian “Scooby” Barrett and Mr. Willett. The group’s name contains three meanings: The group’s motto, intravenous (music through the veins), the four founding members and Mark’s fourth attempt at participating in a band.

Founder & Lead Singer of The IV
Mark Willett's musical journey began in 4th grade. At the age of just 17, he released his first local hit, “Send It On.” Over the years, Mark explored various genres and groups, but it was an encounter in 2010 that marked a turning point. During a party, he joined a Band on stage, sparking an undeniable chemistry that led to him becoming the band’s lead singer. His dynamic presence and talent played a crucial role in the band's global success.
Encouraged by friends and family, he founded "The IV" bringing his passion and experience to a new era of music..
Joseph “Alec” Williams
Bass Guitarist
Joseph 'Alec' Williams embarked on his musical journey at age 14, initially exploring various instruments before finding his true calling with the guitar. His passion was ignited when, one Christmas morning, he unwrapped a bass guitar, setting him on a path of self-discovery and mastery. Alec honed his skills through self-teaching and online resources, where he developed his distinctive talent.
In 2023, Alec joined Mark Willett in forming "The IV," bringing his exceptional bass skills and deep musical insight to the band.
Kashief “Kief” Cozier
Rhythm Guitarist
Kashief "Kief" Cozier’s musical journey began in his teens. With a mother who owned a music store, Kief was naturally drawn to the art. By high school, he was dedicated to daily practice after being introduced to the guitar.
Kief previously played with other bands but found his true fit with "The IV," thanks to a connection with high school friend Alec. Kief now brings his dynamic guitar skills to stages around the world.
